During her former life as a TV journalist and chief of staff with the Seven Network, Gemma perfected the art of communicating to a mass audience in 70 seconds or less.  As fun as this sounds, after 10 years in senior newsroom roles Gemma ventured to the dark side and found it no murkier than the fourth estate. 

With this unique perspective Gemma founded gtmedia, now a leading strategic advisory firm with clients in Canada and the Asia Pacific region. The consultancy is staffed by only senior advisors, all of whom have been working journalists and political advisors.  Collectively the gtmedia team have produced or reported for some of Australia’s news, CA and sporting programs. 

Gemma is a sought after strategic advisor, author, media trainer and speaker. Her clients span the energy, banking, property and infrastructure sectors. She delivers media training and conference keynotes around Australia on subjects as diverse as media 101 to crisis communications, reputation and issues management. 

Gemma is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and sits on the State board of the Starlight Foundation (WA)
