Amber Sheldon has an enviable media pedigree, having worked in Australia’s leading radio and television newsrooms over a period of more than a decade.
Amber began her career as a radio producer with Southern Cross Radio, and ABC (6PR Perth, 3AW Melbourne, ABC774 Melbourne) before moving into TV with the Nine Network in Melbourne producing what was the highest rating breakfast show in the nation, Today Show.
With this impressive bank of knowledge behind her Amber leapt seamlessly into Corporate Affairs, working with a leading boutique communications agency in Melbourne. While in this role Amber managed clients such as Federation Square, and large scale events such as Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and Adelaide Fringe Festival, before accepting a role as Media and Communications Manager for The Victoria Racing Club which produced the largest event within Australia yearly, The Melbourne Cup Carnival.
While in her role at the VRC, Amber worked closely with high profile sponsors and their brands with multimillion dollar spends, (Emirates, Lexus, Paspaley, Longines and MYER) and was responsible for drawing up all contract agreements for talent representing the VRC as well as liaising closely with the Seven Network regarding their live national broadcasts on site.
Returning back to Perth in 2009 Amber teamed up with her long time friend Gemma Tognini, joining gtmedia as a senior advisor. Her diverse clients are in the property, parking and security, government, large scale events, and retail sectors.
Amber is also an experienced media trainer, delivering sessions that cover crisis communications, issues and reputation management as well as media 101.
